Stop-action shots of the video released today by the family of Keith Lamont Scott show Scott, still standing, before being fatally shot by police Tuesday in Charlotte.
Although news reports during the day said he could not be seen in the video, at about the 50-second mark, he’s visible, standing – his bright teal pants are distinctive – before the camera is again turned sideways and toward the ground.
Gunshots are heard while the camera is not on him, and when it returns to the scene, he is on the ground with the police officers around him.
