On October 16, 2016, at 11:33 pm, 12th District Units responded to a radio assignment for a report of a shooting at 2400 block of South 62nd Street.
When they arrived on location the officers found victim #1, a 20 year-old male, laying on the highway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, abdomen, pelvis and legs and was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Approximately 30 minutes later victim #2, a 20 year-old male, arrived at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia suffering from a gunshot wound to his right buttock.
The victim stated that while inside the Lucky Garden Chinese food takeout located at 62nd Street and Elmwood Avenue when he was shot by an unknown male.
Surveillance video depicts the suspect approach victim #1 firing multiple shots at him at close range before proceeding to the front of the store and firing at patrons inside striking victim #2 then fled the area in an unknown direction.
Suspect Description: Black male, full beard, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a yellow logo on the front, and navy blue pants with white stripes down the legs.
