NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Police said they captured two teenagers from the Orlando area following a home invasion and chase in New Port Richey.

Officers said four people forced their way into a home on Ohio Avenue Tuesday, held two teenagers at gunpoint and stole belongings.

Officers said the teenagers in the home recognized two of the culprits.

Police said the home invaders left in a black Lexus that had been stolen out of Winter Park.

The four home invasion suspects crashed the Lexus, and a witness recorded video on a cellphone of officers wrestling a 16-year-old suspect to the ground with the help of a good Samaritan.

“When he pulled back to throw a punch, that’s when I bear-hugged him and took him to the ground,” said good Samaritan Chris Smith.

Police said two people remain at large.

The names of those arrested have not been released.
